Member of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity at the Concert Hall May 29

The Jewish National Fund held another very successful gala May 29, the proceeds of which will go to help build a dental clinic in Israel for children and young adults with special needs.
Honouress this year included members of the Manitoba Chapter of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, with special honouree Dr. Gerald Niznick.

It was another packed Concert Hall on a warm Tuesday evening, May 29, as attendees gathered both to honour members of the Manitoba Chapter of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity (among whom was special guest honouree Gerald Niznick, known as the “Godfather of dental implants”) and to listen to the beautiful singing of Israeli David D’Or, who was accompanied by a quintet of talented musicians and one extremely talented violinist, Sanya Kroitor ( who stole the show with a five-minute solo performance of his own).
Special guests included Manitoba Lieutenant-Governor Janice Filmon; Manitoba Minister of Sport, Culture & Heritage Cathy Cox; Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman; and President of the University of Manitoba Dr. David Barnard.
The national anthems were sung by Gray Academy Choir and Yona Children’s Choir (from Etz Chayim Congregation).
The entire evening was ably emceed by JNF Regional President Jessica Cogan and JNF Regional Vice-President Nola Lazar.
